I have been teaching for three years in various middle school science positions. I started my teaching career with Earth Science, which is my passion, and moved to a split team of 6th grade Physical Science and 7th Grade Life Science.
I believe that science should be hands-on, engaging, and of course, fun! I try to make sure that I have several labs a week or at least a craft-based project each day. Even if a student doesn't care for the science topics I teach, I still want them to experience other science disciplines, even if they don't realize it. My classroom is over the top creative and is packed to the gills with science toys and demonstrations that the kids can interact with in their down time. I know that science can't be every kid's passion, but I at least want to make sure that when a kids leaves my classroom at the end of the year, they take not only knowledge, but warm memories of their time in my class as well.
Nominated for Carroll County Teacher of the Year two years in a row.
Graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a major in Earth Science and a minor in Geoscience, as well as a teaching certification for Earth Science and Middle School Science.
My name is Lindsey Anderson and I LOVE to teach. It's a way to express my creativity in a productive way. I love decorating my classroom and making it fun and homey for my students and I love designing new and interactive labs. I am currently engaged to my loving fiance Adam and will be married at the end of July. We have a black lab/German Shepard mix named Brody who we love to death and are hoping to add to our family within the next year.
