I started my career as a substitute teacher (teaching all ability levels) while I went to school for my BA in elementary education. My first teaching position was in a severely handicapped classroom. As the districts needs changed I was moved to a moderate special education classroom and have spent the last four years teaching an awesome group of 2-4 grade students. In that time I earned a Masters in Special Education. I am currently part of the CCSS Curriculum Design Team for ELA. I also coach new teachers as part of their BTSA requirements. And once in a blue moon you can find me in the principals office as Admin. Designee. I spend my free time writing and creating.
This year I worked with an amazing team of educators to earn the Gold Ribbon Award for our school!
