TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 7th year as an elementary school library media specialist. Before entering the library I worked for the Cooperative Extension Service for 6 years doing early childhood education and 4-H education programs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I think outside of the box, love to learn new ways of teaching, and truly believe that being able to find the answer to any question is one of the most important parts of a child's education.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been a presenter for the Kentucky Library Association annual conference and I have served on the Kentucky Bluegrass Award nomination committee for grades 3-5.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my BA in Communication from Northern Kentucky University and my MS in Library Media Education from Western Kentucky University. I will be starting my National Boards when my youngest child gets in school!
