Math-obessed middle school teacher for the past 13 years! I have experience with every grade level from 4th - 9th. I teach at an inner-city school in New Orleans where the majority of my students come in below grade level. Last year my fifth graders grew from the 12th percentile to the 52nd percentile on the math MAP test.
I make joy a priority every single day because I know firsthand that kids are at their best when they are having fun. I plan my lessons to provide support for my lowest learners by filling in gaps from previous grade levels while at the same time challenging my higher students. Math is life. If you can solve problems creatively in math class you are prepared to take on challenges in the real world.

Outside of school my obsessions include bargain shopping, barre classes, and New Orleans food. I recently got married and my husband and I are taking a year off to sail the Caribbean!
