TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm currently a 1st grade teacher in a Northwest Chicago Suburb. I absolutely LOVE what I do and I'm constantly looking for ways to engage my students and organize my classroom. I've taught in a few different grades in many different areas of Illinois! I think that having taught in diverse environments has helped me become the teacher I am today.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I can be an extreme perfectionist, but I'm this way for my students. I believe that an organized classroom, creates a happy classroom where learning is the focus...not the clutter! Teaching is my passion, but organization is a close second. Being OCD isn't too bad when it's for the good reasons, right?! Since I have my organized classroom, I can focus on creating quality, engaging lessons. Allowing my students to have flexibility and choice in how they learn is also a key to their success! I like to bring humor and tons of love into each day.
