I have just begun my teaching journey. I started off by supply teaching for a year until I landed a Long Term Occasional (LTO) position for a year in a Grade 7/8 classroom. As that LTO ended in June, I took another LTO this past September in a grade 2/3 classroom! I love creating lesson plans and always have fun activities for my students. I also love celebrating holidays in the classroom, so look for my holiday activity packs!
I am a huge fan of collaborative learning and believe that students can learn through inquiry.
I do not have any recent honours, however, I believe that it is important to be a lifelong learner. Since I graduated from Teacher's College, I have taken numerous Addition Qualification courses, including: Primary ABQ Special Education Part 1, Part 2 Primary Math Part 1 Integrated Technology in the Classroom Part 1 Religion Part 1 Reading Part 1
I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier's small Brantford, Ontario Campus in 2009 with Honours Bachelor of Arts. I then furthered my education by attending Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo, Ontario where I received my Bachelor of Education in 2010.
I am a wife, a mother of two puppies and a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan!
