About Our Company

I am the Founder and CEO of The Opportunities Project, a national talent development, coaching and recruitment consulting agency, and a recognized career coach, recruitment expert, and author. I have been recruiting teachers for 14+ years as a school district employee and private consultant. I have helped recruit and place teachers in California, New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Massachusetts and a growing list of other states. Before launching The Opportunities Project, I served as the Director of Teacher Recruitment for the New York City Department of Education, one of the largest employers in the United States, where I supervised the hiring of over 5,000 teachers annually. I am also a founding program manager of the NYC Teaching Fellows, one of the largest and oldest alternative teacher certification programs in the country.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I taught fourth and sixth grade in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan before going into recruitment. My former students are all in their mid to late 20s and I keep up with many over Facebook. One is now finishing her master's degree in teaching which makes me very proud!
