After graduation in 2009, I was a substitute teacher for about a year and a half. In 2011, I started as a part time Reading Interventionist seeing grades 2nd-5th grade. I also did after school tutoring for Reading, grades 3rd-5th. In 2012, I was placed in Kindergarten. I taught 5th grade for the past two years (2013-2014, 2014-2015). I have been in 4th grade for the past three years (2016-present).
I like to use a lot of visuals, hands-on learning, centers. The more the students investigate and learn on their own, the more meaningful it becomes to them.
I received the Presidential Scholar award both years that I was eligible in college.
2005 - high-school graduate 2009 - College graduate 2016 - pursuing a Masters through Marshall University I am currently getting graduate credits through WVU.
I'm a working wife, mother of 2, children's ministry director for 2 years, love hockey (penguins), and teaching the best I can.
