TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 10 years teaching experience across all grades including higher education. I have taught in specialized areas such as an alternative school for mild/moderate high school students with behavioral and emotional as well as learning disabilities. I am currently the EL coordinator at my school and am going on my third year of teaching ALD (Academic Language Development) which is in essence the highest level of ELD and is for LTEL students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach by becoming very close with my students and gaining their trust and respect. I believe in teaching the whole child. I feed my students often. I make sure they are talking more than I am in the classroom. I refuse to give up on students. Not doing work is not an option in my class.
