My first teaching experience was in high school P.E. and Health but my true passion has always been elementary students. After my Masters in Montessori education I taught 2 years in a private Montessori school and then 25 years in public Montessori schools. Basically I love being in a one-room-school-house Montessori classroom teaching all the subjects.
Inquiry and Montessori or is it Montessori and Inquiry? My graduate classes in Math Education and Inquiry science have merged with the Montessori methods. Its a powerful combination.
Yet to be added
A Bachelor in P.E. from McGill University in Montreal Canada and then a Masters in Kinesiology (Learning through Movement) from UCLA. When I found my inspiration in Montessori I got my Masters in Montessori Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. I also studied Math Education from University of Vermont in Cincinnati and also picked up 40 hours of Inquiry Science Education from University of Miami, Ohio.
I love teaching and making materials. The best place to study science is outdoors in Bahamas, Belize and Hawaii! My hobbies are gardening, kayaking and walking/working out. I retired a year ago and still have that teacher thing of making everything a lesson!
