TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my third year of teaching English 9 and Newspaper. I have previously taught Language Arts 11 and Creative Writing during student teaching. I also have experience in tutoring, newspaper editing and customer service.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have high expectations of my kids and "put the work on them." I like to "guide by the side" and help kids discover their learning for themselves, with my prompting! I enjoy helping kids and making handouts and lessons clear, informative and interesting.

AVID monthly interactive notebook award, almost won "Nerdiest Teacher" for the school yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year, but alas, I lost by one vote to my wonderful colleague.
