I've lived in the beautiful world of high school English literature since 2005. During that time I've taught honors, regular level English, inclusion, and intervention classes. I've instructed sections of journalism, creative writing, and acting. And I've developed curriculum for and taught new classes on social issues in literature and multicultural literature. I advised our school newspaper for more than a decade. I am a creative teacher with a skill for helping students find their individual voices and ideas.
I'm great at using the classics to help students learn to read and write independently and to think for themselves. I'm excellent at helping students of all levels reach high-level thinking. My students are confident readers, thinkers, speakers, and writers.
