I taught 2nd grade for 2 years in Metro Nashville Public Schools. This fall, I will be teaching 1st grade for the first time in Rutherford County Schools. I am so excited for this new journey!
I try to make things as interactive and engaging as possible! I love implementing technology into every lesson. I use a lot of Kagan Cooperative Learning Strategies in my classroom which help the students become more involved in their learning.
I have been Common Core trained in Reading/Language Arts. I have also been a part of the Tennessee Board of Regents Close Reading Grant which was an incredible learning experience!
I graduated from Lipscomb University in May 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I will graduate from Lipscomb University in May 2016 with my M.Ed in Reading Specialty with an Administrative License.
I love creating things for my classroom whether it is on the computer or crafting something. I am a devoted Christian and try to live that out in the classroom as much as possible. I love teaching and hope to be doing it for many years to come!
