TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 20 years. The first six years were as a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 1-4. Then I transferred to the general education classroom where I have been teaching 4th grade for 14 years. The last five years I have been working in a co-teaching classroom - it's the best of all my teaching experiences.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a computer-based classroom (eMINTS) and my focus is on combining Whole Brain Teaching techniques with technology in order to provide access to the curriculum for students with diverse needs and strengths. I also LOVE writing, and look for ways to integrate it throughout the curriculum.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

National Board Certified Teacher - Exceptional Child Specialist (2001) eMINTS Certified Teacher (2006)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Science - Special Education (1995) Master's - Special Education (2001)
