Over 19-years of teaching experience! I began teaching Sophomore Language Arts, emphasizing literary analysis and interpretation, poetry writing, creative writing, and writers workshop. From there, I taught Regular and Advanced Theatre for high school, emphasizing performance, playwriting, and professional-level play production. Moving forward, I taught Film & Video for 8th Grade, emphasizing practical movie-making process including camera work, editing, and script writing. Currently, I teach 8th Grade English, emphasizing creative writing, argumentation, and literary analysis. In addition to teaching 8th Grade, I am also an Adjunct Professor for a local community college, emphasizing the major styles and formats of academic writing.
This I Believe: That my students have the capability to become anyone and do anything regardless of what anyone says. To do so, it is their responsibility, at all times, to think creatively, critically, and consistently. I also believe that by doing the best you can, at the time you're doing it, and with what you have, you can do things so extraordinary that you even surprise yourself. What you do proves what you believe.
