I have 12 years of experience working with teens and adults with severe disabilities in a rural community. I have worked at the Junior High, High School, and Vocational Rehab levels.
My program at my school is called Basic Life Skills. Every topic that I teach (and I teach them all) I approach from the perspective of how to use this information in real life. I may have 12 students with 10 different disabilities in my room. My teaching style is all about making personal connections with my students and practical connections with the material.

My classroom is such a busy place visiting specialists have dubbed it Crazy Town and I am the Mayor. I often end up modifying or developing my own curriculum to meet the diverse needs in my room. I hope you find some of it useful.
