The SEEDS Network was founded by Tressa Giordano and Laura Eldredge. --- Tressa Giordano was the Director at an NAEYC-accredited child care center in South Windsor, CT for over 10 years. In this capacity, Tressa has extensive experience in training staff, budgeting, event planning and curriculum planning. --- Tressa has continued to successfully train teaching staff in implementing the Frameworks into their curriculum planning and has lead her center to successful participation in the Accreditation Facilitation Project (AFP) which has lead to 10 years of NAEYC accreditation. --- Laura Eldredge was the Curriculum Coordinator and a teacher at an NAEYC-accredited child care center in South Windsor, CT for 7 years. In this capacity, Laura was actively involved with both children and staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons that align with the CT Preschool Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks and NAEYC criteria. --- As The SEEDS Network, Tressa and Laura have taught many on-site training sessions for early childhood professionals over the past 5 years. We have presented at conferences, retreats and schools throughout Connecticut and beyond.

Tressa Giordano has been involved in many community committees and local government initiatives, State of Connecticut advocacy groups, as well as serving an educational consultant for other programs. Through the years she has taken a variety of professional development seminars that have extended her knowledge of the child care system such as: CT’s Early learning guidelines, CT United for Families and Children Conference, The Changing face of Philanthropy, Child Care Providers Caucus, Pre-K now Conference, along with many more. --- In addition, Tressa has assisted other area programs through Connecticut’s Accreditation Facilitation Project (AFP), presenting seminars and trainings on helping staff through the rigors of accreditation as well as ways to organize and maintain classroom and program portfolios. --- Tressa Giordano is also a certified educational consultant for State of CT Department of Day Care Licensing. --- Laura Eldredge spent 16 years in the field of Information Technology prior to entering the field of Early Childhood Education, In this capacity, Laura has extensive experience in project planning, team building and project management.
