TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been working in education for 8 years. I currently teach 12th grade Social Studies (Civics and Economics) and US History in summer school. I have several years experience teaching Global and US History. I have worked in a suburban and urban school settings with a diverse student population. I also teach technology electives focusing on web development, 3D Modeling and Photoshop.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a big believer in using technology in education to bridge the gap between the engaged and the uninterested student. I use cell phones for exit slips, quizzes and interactive exercises when possible. I use online gaming like Quizlet, Classflow and Kahoot to reinforce ideas in a fun and competitive setting. I try to provide my students with as much support and enthusiasm in everything I teach. I love history and I want my students to love it too. If they don't follow by passion for social studies, the least I can do is make it interesting.
