I am a very interactive teacher, and I believe in hands on learning, including simulations, game-based learning, cooperative grouping, music and movie-based multimedia projects, and other strategies for keeping the learning engaging. I also see myself as a content-based reading teacher, particularly as common core begins in my classroom this year. I believe in teaching my students to read complex academically complex texts with comprehension and fluency and to help them shift from a persuasive writing style to an argumentative writing style.
