My name is Kristin Hupp, MA, CCC-SLP and I’ve been a school-based SLP since 2015. I work with the middle-high school population. In the schools, language, articulation, phonology, AAC, and fluency are predominately focused on. In my work, I have served in urban and surburban public school districts, as well as in parochial school districts in Ohio.
Working with middle and high school aged students, I like pairing my teaching with classic, simple activities of interest to all ages. I am a visual learner, so that’s how I tend to teach! I consistently use white boards with dry erase markers as a teaching tool for interactive learning. I enjoy finding and creating time-saving, multi-purpose tools that are easy to teach and learn from. I see the value in progress monitoring and stick with simple chart systems for easy data collection. In my teaching, I enjoy referencing the common core standards with students and making student learning in therapy comparable to learning in any other curricular area. I like teaching with tools that are standard-aligned and age-specific. I like teaching tools that allow for many practice opportunities, so every therapy session is memorable and meaningful to students!

I stumbled upon TPT in graduate school. I then invested in a laminator, and suddenly, the therapy materials I used started to look and function better than ever before. My therapy efforts evolved with the resources from TPT, becoming much more visually appealing, durable, and academically relevant. My interests in becoming a seller first began during my CFY when I sometimes struggled to find effective therapy materials meant specifically for middle-high school aged students. My second year in the field I started dabbling in creating materials. With time and experience, I wanted to challenge myself in crafting and developing a store of my own!
