This is my 11th year teaching in North Carolina as a Visual Arts Teacher.
My teaching style is to differentiate instruction, make lessons relevant, and create college/career ready students.
I'm in the process of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher and my students won the state championship this year at the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities.
Masters of Arts from Appalachian State University in December 2013 with a major of Educational Media, Instructional Technology Specialist. Bachelor of Science from SUNY New Paltz in December 2006 with a major in Art Education. Associate in Science from Jamestown Community College in May 2004 with a major in Fine Arts.
I am originally from Western New York and moved to North Carolina in 2008. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz in New York with a Bachelors in Art Education and have been teaching art since. I received my Masters in Educational Media & Technology through an online program with Appalachian State University in December 2013. I am extremely excited to have such a wonderful career in one of the best high schools in North Carolina! I am always looking forward to improving students' skills, creativity, and global competitiveness in our ever changing society through art to help make college/career ready students!
