Before becoming a teacher and getting my Masters in Leadership, I had been a professional graphic artist and illustrator for 20 years. I have accumulated a variety of teaching experiences so far: I have taught arts and pottery, foods and nutrition, science and information technology in high school, as well as most recently, grades 2 / 3, 5 and 6.
I love creating open ended, arts-infused projects. I believe that inquiry and project-based learning help generate a more fulfilling experience for students.

I am originally from Brazil, where I originally studied to be a dental surgeon. As I got deeper into my studies, I found that despite my love for the sciences, I was not fulfilled; I was only happy when being creative. When I was 21 I moved to the United States, where I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts, focusing on Illustration and Design. My favourite subjects are Arts, Pottery, Information Technology, Biology and English, but I also love Math, Spanish and Textiles. I think I like anything, as long as I can mix it with Arts. My hobbies include creating whimsical art, dancing, singing, writing, reading, cooking and sewing.
