I have over 20 years of teaching Bible, Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, American Literature, theatre, and classes about Narnia (yay!).
I model an enthusiastic approach to teaching while endeavouring to create lessons that impart information in a way where students will become enthusiastic and successfully grasp the experience. I keep my brainchild, an “REM” lesson philosophy (relevant, effective, meaningful) in mind as I aspire with each lesson to create enthusiasm and encourage them to be engaged while similar to physical REM, there is a rapid movement going on while they aren’t even aware, whether it's in their minds, body, or hearts! It’s wonderful to see a child suddenly fall in love with the subject (ESPECIALLY IF IT'S JESUS)! I give it my all to remain flexible, open to change, help students feel that THEY MATTER and communicate successfully with their parents to let them sense a partnership with me in the education of their child. I want them to feel safe in my class and in a productive and collaborative learning environment.
