I have had field experience teaching Kindergarten. I worked two years as preschool paraprofessional. I have taught nine years in Elementary Education as a third grade teacher.
I use a Constructivist approach to education with an emphasis on collaborative/group learning. I also greatly implement literacy and math centers in my everyday instruction as well small group guided instruction. My teaching style also incorporates the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model. I also believe in making lessons relate to the real world and promote high levels of engagement.

I have worked with children since I was thirteen years old. I have also worked at the same summer camp for 14 years. At this camp I worked with students from age 4 to 16 years of age. I enjoy performing in my school's variety show and performing in my classroom. I told my mom in fifth grade that I wanted to be a teacher because Mr. G, my teacher, had such a huge impact on my life. I hope to do the same for my students.
