TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This will be my tenth year teaching! Other than one year teaching fifth grade, I have spent almost a decade teaching secondary English language and literature. I have taught in the United States, Namibia with the Peace Corps, and I am now teaching the British curriculum at an international school in Thailand.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm super excited about project based learning, especially with relevant uses of innovative technology. I encourage my students to think critically and develop their empathy through questioning and personal reflection. I believe that literature and diverse voices are a necessary tool for teaching social justice and empowering students to change the world.
