I like to approach teaching like I approach life, with a truly grateful heart. I am so thankful that I get to love these kids through a whole year of their life; I am so thankful that their parents share them with me. I am thankful that I get to teach them not only the curriculum, but life lessons that will stick with them through the remainder of their lives.

Teaching is my second career. I began my professional life as an accountant. The calling to be a teacher came somewhat as a surprise to myself and those around me. I began this journey on a prayer, and it has been the most amazing adventure. I feel at home in my classroom, with my kids. This crazy, beautiful, insane, amazing profession has truly changed my heart and mind. Becoming a teacher is definitely near the top of my "best life choices" list.
