I have had one year of experience in second grade. This school year (2015-16) with be my third year of teaching. I currently teach 4th Grade ELAR, Writing, and Social Studies in Houston, Texas and LOVE it.
I want my students to be able to find knowledge as something they can attain and discover that it is a building block to achieving their goals. I believe it is my purpose as a teacher to show students how to learn affectively by teaching in diverse ways. Every student’s home life influences not only the type of person they are becoming, but also the student they are becoming. If diversity is not a vital part of the overall classroom experience then these students will not be likely to succeed. I want to be influential to not only their success in my classroom, but also their future academic success.
Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society Member at Baylor University
I am a recent graduate of Baylor University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Religion minor as of May 2013! Baylor has a very rigorous education program and I am thankful that I received an incredible education during my time there. I have plans to eventually plans to further my education with a masters degree. However, right now I am just learning new things from my students every day!
Everything that I do is for the glory of God, my Savior and King. I want to honor Him in the way that I teach and how I care for my students.
