I have been an elementary school teacher for over twenty years. During that time I saw too many of my colleagues feeling wiped out by the end of the day. The Uncluttered Teacher came out of this need to help them find a balance between the demands of their ten hour work day and the desire to get their personal lives back. I also have been trained as a professional organizer having previously been a member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). I created my own business called, All-In-One Organizing, a professional organizing service specializing in school, office, home, and downsizing projects. I would coach clients on how to get rid of clutter and better manage their belongings and time.
I believe all, and I mean ALL, of my students can learn and be successful.
2015 Teacher of the Year. I have been a keynote presenter at multiple Good Teaching Conferences speaking to crowds of over 800 people. I have also presented at the California PK1 Conference. My work has been featured in California Educator, a state wide publication for members of the California Teachers Association. It has also been previously published in many local publications as well as numerous educational newsletters.
I have a multiple subjects credential as well as a BCLAD credential which allows me to work with diverse second language populations. I am a trained Mega Skills presenter and have created and lead our parent education program for 5 years. I am the student council advisor for our school. I have been a grade level lead teacher and serve on our leadership team.
My goal has always been to improve people’s lives so they feel empowered to take back control of their day. I want them to have more energy to spend on the things that really bring them joy. My desire is for people to spend less time managing and more time living their lives.
