I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade for over 6 years at a STEM school just outside the beautiful Twin Cities. I received a Master's in Teaching and Learning with a my research focusing on STEM integration in the classroom. I am currently the "technology mentor" for our staff and enjoy finding new/creative ways to incorporate technology to increase efficiency and engagement in the classroom.
I am in-between a type-A and type-B style of teaching! I believe it's crucial to be high energy, flexible and (for my own sanity) extremely organized (I'm working on it) I am passionate about incorporating STEM-based activities in the elementary classroom and especially mindful of the 4-C's.
Top 15% of all Praxis II test takers in the nation, "President's List" (all years of college)
MA in Teaching and Learning (STEM focus) BS in Elementary Education (Math focus), Minor in Graphic Design
In 2013, the city I teach in was named the "Best Place to Raise Kids in Minnesota" I love sports, the outdoors, music, and drinking coffee in the morning when it's about 60 degrees outside!
