Pat-I am a retired teacher after having taught for 35 years. I have taught third and first grades. I have been substitute teaching since retirement. I also have taught two reading courses at Towson University.
Kelly-Instructor for Art and Enrichment classes for Parks and Recreation, ages 2 to 12. 10 years’ experience in Higher Education as Student Life coordinator and Leadership Development educator.
Pat-It is hard to pinpoint just one teaching style. I prefer to think of myself as eclectic. I feel it is important to create a classroom environment wherein children feel comfortable and are not afraid to make mistakes.

Pat-I have written three workbooks which were published by Teachers Created Resources. They are: Phonics Poetry Using Blends, Phonics Poetry Using Word Families, Phonics Poetry Using Digraphs. These were written using a pen name, Penny Carter.

Pat-I attended St Joseph's Parochial School in Hazleton, Pa. from 1st-5th grades. I then received a public school education throughout middle and high school in Middletown Township, N.J. I went to college in Williamsport, Pa. at Lycoming College where I majored in psychology and education. I earned my Masters degree in reading from Loyola College in Baltimore, Md. and an advanced professional degree in curriculum mainly from Goucher College in Towson, Md.

Pat-I live with my husband, Bill, (also a retired teacher) in Forest Hill, Md. We have 3 grown children that we are very proud of and 4 fun-loving, wonderful grandkids.
Kelly-Currently living in Clarksville TN with my husband Dan. We've lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia and met in West Virginia. We have a 17 year old cat named Marvin.
