TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at a preschool in my hometown. I grew up around children with my parents owning a state licensed childcare center that was licensed for 108 children. When they closed their doors after 8 years of business I felt a little lost not being around children. I then began subbing at the preschool and after 5 years as a substitute I worked my way up to being a lead 3 year old classroom teacher then to a lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher. I loved the innocence of my 3 year olds but I feel like I have found my niche with the Pre-Kindergarteners!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is routine and center based. I find it helps my students to learn at an optimum level when they know the schedule of our day. I also incorporate all 5 of the senses in my teaching, we love to cook in my classroom! The children in my classroom love my zebra themed room and throughout the year we learn about a variety of animals ranging from African animals to farm animals. Ms. Stephanie's class is a Wild bunch!
