MY TEACHING STYLE

My belief is that all children can be taught history and their role as citizens. I believe that Social Studies is a wonderful medium to teach students critical thinking skills. My lessons are skills based with a heavy emphasis on primary sources. Most units and lessons are Common Core aligned. I have been fortunate to travel and wherever possible I always show students my pictures from these trips. To that end I am including my Pinterest link so that anyone who is interested can use the images that I have taken. The link is http://www.pinterest.com/ctf5/

I believe Social Studies education is the most important subject in the creation of a civil society and the globalized economy has brought into sharp relief the necessity of learning World History/Geography.
