Jennifer L. Padgett has been in the field of literacy education for over twenty years, teaching all grade levels. She holds a holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Evangel University and a Masters of Education in Language Arts and Literacy from New England College. Since 2008, she has worked with dyslexic children and is currently a reading specialist, who works with struggling readers, using an Orton-Gillingham program entitled All About Spelling. The Kinetic Kid was created as a result of working with elementary students who were struggling with their sounds. Padgett feels that the most rewarding part of her job is watching her students begin to smile about reading and also drastically improve on their fluency checks in reading.
