I taught elementary music for seven years, assisted with high school band, and developed and directed the elementary choir. Currently I design and produce resources for general music education, focusing primarily on elementary and middle school general music resources.
My teaching style is eclectic. I draw from Orff, Kodaly, Dalcroze, and Feierabend.
My articles "Keeping Students Active During Summer Break" and "How to Create Lesson Plans for Non-Music Substitutes" have been published in the National Association for Music Education Blog. I was also interviewed for an article in Teaching Music Magazine, in which I described how to create and maintain a sub tub.
I have a Bachelor of Music Education degree in K-12 general, instrumental, and vocal music, as well as a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction.
