TEACHING EXPERIENCE

A few year ago, I was presented with an opportunity to build the counseling department from the roots. All of us counselors were brand new and it allowed us to make this department EXACTLY how we wanted it to be. So consider my TPT products my Pinterest, blog, and Instagram as a form of my diary as a day in the life as a zealous middle school counselor. I love what I do and I wouldn't trade it for any other career, even on the challenging days!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I work at a diverse, Title I school and many of my students score to having high childhood toxic stress (ACEs). What works for me is a combination of Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, this allows me to reach the majority of the students quickly and efficiently.
