TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught elementary school for 23 years teaching kindergarten through 5th grade. I have also had experience teaching teachers as well as serving as an educational advocate for homeless students. Prior to my formal teaching career, I worked with preschool children and high school students. I currently teach in 4th grade in a co-teaching classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I would label myself a constructivist as I enjoy the model of hands on learning for any age of learner. I feel that this teaching style works best with clear outcomes, high expectations and a strong sense of direction by both the teacher and the student.
