I have a passion for teaching! I have taught for 33 years! Currently, I have retired from teaching full time. The majority of my teaching was in first grade! I am enjoying substitute teaching in the primary grades. Also, I have been serving as a guest reader in several elementary schools. I've been assisting with reading and math assessments on occasion, and volunteering in classrooms when possible!
When possible,I incorporate lots of hands-on activities, along with music, movement, and chants.
I was nominated for the Kids' Choice Award and Exceptional Classroom Teacher at RBES , Maryland in 2012-2013.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University, PA. My Master's Degree in Reading is from Towson University, Maryland.
I am very happily married for over twenty years! I have two wonderful children. We all reside in the Maryland area. I am very blessed with a wonderful family and a rewarding teaching profession!
