Hello Everyone! My name is Cheriece White and I am a Visual Art certified NYS educator. I have been really fortunate within my career to build a curriculum that is not taught at any other high school. I take pride in what I do but before I get into the specifics, I wanted to share a quick story with you. Back in 2010, I started my Masters of Science in Art Education K-12. I was in a foundations class when my professor showed us lesson plans and how to write them. She asked everyone for feedback and when it came for my turn to share, the only weird that came to my mind was dull. She asked be to go in detail and I told her I would go crazy if I had to look at that plain format everyday. Let alone create it and put my name on it. For years after that we were at odds because I decided to restructure my lesson plan format so its not only easy to read but visually pleasing. I always did the opposite down to my teaching portfolio. At the end of my graduate program she thanked me for being so persistent and asked to keep my portfolio to show future students what being different but successful looks like. My belief is that everything that we teach, that we plan and that we create should be visually pleasing. It creates a full circle of engagement between teacher and student. I have always decorated my worksheets with my own clip art, created posters to enrich classroom environment, edited video introduction trailers to different topics within my lessons and made 90% of my lessons interdisciplinary. I tell my students I am a magician and they just laugh at me. But my focus is to hide core content behind visual and graphic art. Allowing them to look at something that they want to engage in because of the freedom design gives students yet practicing creative writing, mathematics or social science at the same time. (- pretty long sentence lol) Recently as of March 2013, I was diagnosed with RR Multiple Sclerosis. It has rocked my world but I am happy to report I am doing so much better :-) The flipped Teacher is a product of that episode. It has made me think that maybe their is some other teacher out there, recovering from an illness but doesn't have enough time for all the little stuff in-between. So i created a store to gradually start selling the things I created for myself all these years. Thank you for being interested in my store and I hope you are satisfied with my products. I encourage positive or constructive feedback so I can better my store to accommodate as many people as I can! I would also LOVE suggestions for clip art! I can have them made in a week or less depending on demand :) Stay Strong Fellow Teachers! Summer is coming! The Facts -I have my B.S. in Visual arts and a Double Minor in Media -Communications & Design -I have my MS in Art Education K-12 -I have six years experience of teaching in inner city public schools -I created four successful art curricula for a new public high school in New York City
