Four years working within public schools as well as five years spent working in higher education in Arizona. I also spent 11 years in the US Armed Forces, during which time I served as a Human Resources Sergeant. I came out of the Army with a ton of experience in creating forms and sheets with publisher and excel, as well as Power Point presentations. I've taken that skill and my passion for early education and combined them to form this TpT account.
I like a hybrid-blended style. I love Piaget and Monetessori, but also love classical education. I love inquiry-based learning, but also think activity/facilitator style has a place. My products are created to align with the grade-level pacing guide and CCSS and hit as many standards as possible (and developmentally appropriate) with each item.
I've earned a few commendations and awards in my life, but the one I like to brag about is my "best mama in the universe" award, which has been bestowed upon me by the best kids in the universe.
I am currently earning my prek-3rd grade teaching certification. Previously, I attended three years of graduate school for school psychology and hold a bachelors degree in Human Services, associate in Parent Education and Home Visitation. I've fallen in love with the concept of thematic units. I also love to find literature which follows along with the unit's theme and teaches social skills.
