Nine years of teaching American History, 20th Century History, American Government, and Geography. I've also taught Freshman and Sophomore English.
I strive to reach a variety of learning styles. When in the classroom, I use photos, videos, maps, and display slides showcasing the main points of my lecture in bullet points. I encourage students to write, observe, critique, analyze, discuss, and connect past events with current events when covering class material. I believe in keeping it simple yet meaningful. I do that by explaining how the past is still playing a role in the present.
