I've been an SLP for 17 years. I've worked in many settings: hospital, public/private school, tele-therapy and private practice. I have extensive experience with students who are struggling with executive functioning, study skills and TBI.
I'm a creative thinker who takes a bit of this and a bit of that and makes each therapy session individualized. I try as much as possible to take therapy activities and make them functional and relevant to the client's life.
I've had quotes featured in several books and was interviewed by Your Teen magazine as an expert on executive functioning.
I graduated from Valparaiso University with my undergraduate degree in communication disorders and Governor's State University with my Master of Health Sciences degree.
I'm a mom to two kids-one of whom just left for college! Both of my children have mild executive functioning difficulties which helped me to create not only products to help students with EF deficits but also in how to treat them.
