I have been an elementary school teacher in Colorado for over 20 years. My experience is mostly in fourth grade literacy for English language learners and students of trauma and poverty. I've also taught 3rd and 5th grades and spent five years as a K-5 literacy teacher leader. Fall 2019 - I will be teaching 3rd grade ELA and will be a half-time ESL interventionist, focusing mostly on newcomers.
My style is a mix of humor and tough love! I want kids to love school and love reading! My goal is to build lasting relationships with students while holding them to the highest standards.
