I have worked as a school SLP for 15 years in early intervention, preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school settings. I have worked with diverse cultural backgrounds from Amish preschools to juvenile prisons. I currently work part time in a pediatric outpatient hospital as well as holding on-site and teletherapy school contracts.
I believe in following a child's lead in the beginning to gain trust and rapport, then shaping the behavior and style of therapy to suit their needs. I believe in a balance of structure and self-expression. I use the teaching of gratitude, manners, and self-awareness to increase the overall success of each child.
