I hope and plan to make a difference in the world, one student at a time. There are so many children in the world who need someone that cares about them. Someone who cares about their education as well their future goals. We are all entitled to certain things while we occupy space on this planet called earth. Contrary to popular belief, there are just a few rights that we have as human beings. These few rights represent our entitlement as a life form. One right is the opportunity to learn. We are each entitled to receive information to enhance our minds. There is never a lack of lessons or materials available to us. It is our responsibility to open our minds to it. Another is the opportunity to teach. We are entitled to share what we know. It is, of course, our duty to make our opinions, information and practices available to the people who are willing to learn what we know. Lastly and probably most important of these entitlements, is the opportunity to give. We should all have a sense of genuine concern and care for one another. We should give, like every day is the last day we have on earth. Teaching for me is a profession of caring for others. It is a profession of the heart. To teach is to touch the lives of many and to help us learn life's lessons. But to teach well is to make a difference in all the lives you touch.
My first area of achievement was a goal to help benefit our local Taunton, MA Literacy Council. I created and raised over $2,500 fpr the literacy program. I received awards for my concerted efforts. My second area of achievement was to benefit the Make a wish foundation. We raised over $3000.00 that made it possible for a young person diagnosed with a terminal illness to go to Disney. Received a citation from our local mayor for my efforts. My Last award was giving a Tour of Taunton, our local city. It is so invigorating to teach children that you can do more than just wish and hope something would happen, you can make is happen. Having a vision and turning it into reality is quite exciting. But teaching that to children and stepping back and watching them do the same or similar is even more rewading. My personal area of achievement was being a wife, mother of 3, Grandmother of 2. Author of a self- help, medical book. Appearing on over 10 National Television Programs and over 350 National Radio Shows.
