I have been teaching for 15 years. There is nothing better than being a facilitator of learning for little minds, and then seeing the expressions on their faces when that learning comes to life within them.
My teaching style is to provide students with opportunities to be facilitators of their own learning. I prefer to think of them as fireworks, ready to be ignited as opposed to dump trucks, waiting to have information "poured" into them.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary English from Emory and Henry College, as well as a master's degree from Lesley University in Curriculum and Instruction/Integrated Arts.
I began my career as a classroom teacher in Virginia and have since relocated in North Carolina. For the past two years I have been teaching a special area class called The 4 C's, where we focus on creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. I LOVE creating rigorous, real world activities that are relevant and FUN for the students.
