TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught all grade levels from kindergarten to the fifth grade. I am currently on my 8th year in 3rd grade. In my early years of teaching I was a Title 1 teacher and interventionist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to create a classroom environment where all students feel safe, welcome, comfortable, and challenged. My students need to know that I care for them and will do anything for them. I try to keep things exciting, fresh, and new. The second I am done teaching something, I am thinking about how to make it better for the next time around.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University (Lafayette, Indiana). I also have Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live with my husband, Jon, and 2.5 year old boy, Elijah. We have a cat named Oreo and a dog named Peyton. I have been teaching for over 12 years and I do not see an end to teaching in sight; I love it that much! I absolutely love back to school time and I count down to it, while others tend to count down to the end.
