TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for about 15 years. I have taught special education in grades K and 4, general education in grades PreK-5 and enrichment K-5..

MY TEACHING STYLE

Differentiated Instruction, visible thinking, questioning and promoting success for all, is the foundation of my teaching. I enjoy finding ways to engage my students in collaborative activities that encourage thinking and communication. My brain is always going on ways I can keep my kids thinking and engaged in learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The kind words that I receive from students, parents, co-workers and peers about how I have touched their lives.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Masters of Science in Education

I live in a small rural town in upstate NY. I have been married since 1988 to my high school sweetheart. Together we have raised 2 amazing children. My children are recently graduated and now on their own, leaving me some time on my hands. I enjoy boating, reading, getting great PD on student learning, and just relaxing.
