I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching over the past 18 years and have developed a diverse teaching record throughout my public school career in Colorado and Virginia. I have experience in teaching students at every point in their academic journey both online and face-to-face, from pre-school to Ph.D., and have held positions teaching technology, computer science, creative writing, algebra 1, choir/band/strings, art, drama, and general music. I have also held positions at state universities as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer because of my innovative teaching practices and diverse background knowledge.
I enjoy leading students through experiences where they develop and discover content through project and problem-based learning. However, I also know the power of a strong lecture and train my students to listen attentively to gather information from talking points.
