TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a middle school ELA teacher for the last five years, teaching at both private schools and public schools. In the summer, I spend my time teaching advanced and remedial 12th graders in the public and private school system. At my current school, I teach ELA to grades 6-8, where classes are fully inclusive and focus on high standards while integrating the NYS Common Core Learning Standards and modules. I absolutely love my job and teaching all of my secondary students!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students need to learn at their highest ability, and should also enjoy what they're learning. My students understand that every assignment or activity has a later purpose, which generally leads to an essay and a creative project.
