TEACHING EXPERIENCE

11 years of teaching. 3 years as a special educator and the rest as a general education teacher with many opportunities to continue working with students with special needs and collaborating with other teaching professionals.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love hands-on, active learning and believe problem-solving is a necessary part of not only learning, but a life skill to be taught and developed in our students. Learning must be authentic and connect to students. I feel it is important to explain why we learn a subject or use certain strategies so students can make connections to their every day life and/or other subjects.
